Véronique De Keyser (S&D, BE) speaks to patients at a hospital in Lomé, Togo on 20 November, 2011. MEPs were there as part of the 22nd session of the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly which will run from 21 to 23 november. The Bureau and the three Standing Committees (Committee on Political Affairs, Committee on Economic Development, Finance and Trade and Committee on Social Affairs and the Environment) met from 4 to 6 October in Brussels. 2011. It was preceded by meetings of the three standing committees on 14 May and the Bureau on 15 May. The Session adopted the three resolutions from the Standing Committees as well as two urgent resolutions on Cote d'Ivoire and the impact of upheavals in North Africa and the Middle East on ACP countries. Two declarations on AIDS and aid effectiveness were also adopted as well as 42 amendments to the JPA Rules of Procedure.
